Brand rebirth. With a history of LCBO sales promotion reliance to boost sales, the brand knew it needed to make a change to attract consumer attention to achieve the forecasted sales growth.
With 48,000 corked and labeled bottles we were looking at a full season or more before a brand rebirth could to presented to the consumer. We also knew that having two different brand presentations on the shelf at the same time was not a desirable option. We knew we had a real problem to solve.
Our solution revolved around creating a sleeve (a.k.a. wrap) to cover up the old branding with the new. Printer logistics, co-ordination with The LCBO and winery proved how well various teams can work together when confronted with a unifying cause. Like the brand, we became a union committed to growing a worthy brand. Like the Noir, all blends will migrate to new labels and not miss a beat with consumer recognition.
